L you who follow more or less often you have seen this blog that is not very frequent accommodation entries relating to ICT: this is not the fundamental issue blog although we are interested in this topic if you are referring to technical solutions that facilitate inclusion.
This is the case of iFree Tablet. A fully accessible tablet PC designed from the University of Cordoba, Carlos de Castro at the helm. In the words of project manager, is a computer designed for a blind user, deaf, and quadriplegic. Therefore, accessibility is full, eliminating almost all peripheral devices that many people with reduced mobility or sensory deficits usually have to use to access the computer.
This amazing team has many advantages: easy navigation, free software, speech synthesis, multimodal scanning, mouse facial ... and many others to which we must add its price. Soon be in the market for an amount far less than any of you might be thinking.
course, there are many expectations in relation to iFree Tablet. Hopefully that is disseminated, in my of view, is one of the most serious bets for reducing the digital divide: one of the ways in which exclusion is evident.
In this video you can access more information on this project.
